Thomas Circle

A former magnet for arts and music.

The Victorian and Romanesque homes of Northwest’s Thomas Circle spiral upward from the circle’s edge in a manner that belies their great age and great history. Ambrose Bierce once occupied a home here on the circle along with Washington’s power elite and other great artists and luminaries. Now Logan is known as one of the first areas of city redevelopment, starting with the classic Studio Theatre and continuing for decades through the Whole Foods market complex on P Street. Restaurant lovers enjoy the many options and fine dining, particularly during restaurant week and summer when the sidewalks are full of hungry patrons!
